Leaf Hound formed in 1969 under their original name, Black Cat Bones. Early incarnations of the Black Cat Bones featured guitarist Paul Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke who both left to form Free. Black Cat Bones issued one album for Decca Records entitled Barbed Wire Sandwich. They replaced their vocalist shortly after releasing the album, adding Peter French to the line-up. Guitarist Rod Price departed soon after to join Foghat and French added his cousin Mick Halls on guitar. Soon afterwards, Black Cat Bones changed their name to Leaf Hound. At this point the band consisted of French on vocals, Halls on guitar, the Brooks brothers, Derek and Stuart, on guitar and bass respectively, and Keith George-Young on drums.

The first official live recording of the early 70’s iconic cult group, Leaf Hound, captures a band that hasn’t lost a step and knows how to get a crowd in a frenzy. Led by the enigmatic Peter French, Leaf Hound, who are best known for their epic 1971 album Growers Of Mushrooms, delivers a high energy and raucous performance for a rabid Japanese crowd. Mixing in classic material with the bands more recent tunes, Leaf Hound show no signs of letting up after four decades of plying their trade!

Recorded in sound demonstration quality this is the documentary of Greg Lake’s last tour, recorded on November 28, 2012 in a sold out Teatro Municipale in Piacenza. It was a very special, magical evening, as Greg remembered in his outstanding autobiography, Lucky Man. The concert was a triumph and eventually on January 9, 2016 the trustees of Conservatorio Nicolini of Piacenza gave Greg Lake the first honorary degree ever given by a Conservatorio.

This is a wonderful record, bringing the “Songs Of A Lifetime” project to its highest point. Exclusively for this concert, Greg performed with some special guests: Le Orme’s leader Aldo Tagliapietra, ex PFM and Acqua Fragile’s great vocalist Bernardo Lanzetti and the young and talented Annie Barbazza, making the Piacenza show even more special and rare.

Tim Staffell & Paul Stewart - How High - 2020

Tim Staffell  was the lead singer and bassist of the now legendary sixties rock trio Smile, alongside guitarist Brian May and Roger Taylor. When he left to persue other musical projects in 1970 , his college friend Freddie Bulsara took his place as lead singer. The band changed their name to Queen and Bulsara changed his name to Mercury.

The 2018 biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' depicts this chapter in history, portraying a gig where Smile performs 'Doin' All Right', which Staffell co-wrote with May (and was also recorded with Mercury for Queen's first album). Staffell supplied new vocals and bass parts for the movie and official soundtrack: 'Doing All Right - ...Revisited'.

Staffell has continued to write and perform original music in the decades since he left Smile, collaborating with luminaries such as  drummer Colin Peterson (Bee Gees), keyboardist and composer Morgan Fisher, guitarist Snowy White and Chaz Jankel (Ian Dury & The Blockheads).

Blues From The Inside Out is the most expressive project of Dave Specter’s 35-year career. Featuring his debut as a vocalist, the album is an exciting and timely celebration of blues, soul, jazz, funk and gospel. These are fine times to hear Specter, an evolving artist who embraces growth and discovery.

Blues From The Inside Out includes a guest appearance on guitar by Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna fame, who also co-wrote one of the album’s 12 original tunes. Specter wrote the uplifting soul anthem for change “March Through the Darkness,” he takes a deep dive into Meters-Neville Brothers inspired rhythms with the instrumental “Sanctifunkious” and sings on the blues shuffle title track. Besides Kaukonen, Specter recruited the Chicago-based Liquid Soul horns and Latin-percussion ace Ruben Alvarez, each playing on three tracks.
